Some gifts end up in a drawer. Some are remembered for a lifetime.
The Catvents boat trip gift card puts a day at sea in Barcelona into someone’s hands, with their name on it: a sunset under sail, breakfast afloat off the Barceloneta or a private catamaran just for them. You choose the experience or the amount; the person who receives it chooses the day. And the sea does the rest.
Personalised and sent to your inbox within 24 working hours · valid for 12 months · from €25 per person.
Gifting an experience at sea should be no harder than gifting a book. So there are three steps, and two of them are ours.
A specific experience — a sailing trip, a sunset on a catamaran, a private boat — or an open amount so they can choose for themselves. Give us the name of the person receiving it and, if you like, a dedication. Write through the contact form, by email or by phone; we confirm the price and general availability the same day.
We design the card with their name, the experience or the amount, your dedication and a redemption code. It reaches you as a PDF within 24 working hours, ready to print and slip into an envelope, forward by WhatsApp or keep on your phone until the big day. Secure card payment, and an invoice if you need one.
They write to us with their code, suggest a date (or two) and we confirm the departure subject to availability. They board at Port Olímpic or at the port of their experience, with a professional crew and everything included. If they would rather have a different experience from the one you gifted, they simply swap it and pay only the difference, if there is one.
An envelope, a ribbon and a card with a sailing boat on it. Before she has read a word she knows this is no ordinary gift; the moment she reads it, she knows she is going sailing.
A re-creation of the moment on the Port Olímpic terrace, with the sailing boats and the W hotel behind: the very place our trips set off from.
Our shared departures make the perfect gift card for one or two people: two hours of sailing with a skipper and deckhand, a welcome drink, an aperitif and a swim in the Mediterranean if the weather allows. Tap on each one to see photos, times and what is included.

See breakfast on a boat in Barcelona →Looking for something smaller, for a Secret Santa or an office birthday? The vermouth sailing trip in Barcelona (from €25 per person) is our most affordable gift card and one of the ones that raises the most smiles. All of these departures sit in our calendar of shared sailing boat tours in Barcelona, sailing all year round and more often in high season.
When the gift comes from several people — the siblings for their parents, the team for a colleague, the friends for the newlyweds — the gift card can cover a whole boat with its crew: a gift card for a catamaran trip, a private sailing yacht or a VIP yacht. They decide when, and with whom.

See the VIP yacht in Barcelona →If you would rather compare the whole fleet before deciding, our catamaran rental in Barcelona page and our private boat trips in Barcelona show every boat we sail — from the 12-guest sailing yacht to the 125-guest catamaran — with photos, capacities and hourly prices. And if the gift is an exclusive speedboat in Barcelona, that goes on the card too.
Everyone takes to the water in their own way. These are the pairings that work best; if you are unsure, tell us what the person is like and we will advise you in a minute.
The shared sunset if there are two of you and you want atmosphere; the private romantic boat trip if you want quiet and a toast on your own. And if the gift is hiding an important question, take a look at our marriage proposal on a boat in Barcelona.
Breakfast on board at sunrise or a midday sailing trip, on a catamaran if you want maximum stability. Brothers and sisters often club together and gift the private sailing boat with skipper for the whole family.
The vermouth sailing trip as an affordable little something; the full moon night as the original choice; and, if there are a lot of you, boat rentals for parties and birthdays in Barcelona with music and swimming.
Catamarans are steady, roomy and safe (with life jackets for the little ones if you let us know). We run boat activities for kids in Barcelona and morning family departures where the children are the first to ask to go again.
A VIP yacht, an exclusive speedboat at sunset, or a berth on our shared holidays on a sailing boat to Menorca: days of sailing, coves and quiet anchorages that no shop can sell you.
Individual cards for the team, or a whole catamaran to celebrate hitting target: we issue multiple cards with an invoice and coordinate every redemption. Take a look at our corporate events on a boat in Barcelona.
The gift card can be ordered at any moment of the year and redeemed whenever suits the person receiving it: it is valid for 12 months, so it covers every season. At Christmas and New Year it is the last-minute gift that saves the list — we email it within hours; for Valentine’s Day, a sunset cruise gift for two to be enjoyed in spring; on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, a breakfast or a sailing trip that turns into a family day out; for birthdays, retirements and weddings, the private boat that brings everybody together.
Barcelona sails all year round. From April to October, with swimming and time on deck until dusk; from November to March, with cleaner light, fewer people on the quay and a warm cabin below. One honest tip: in summer and on key dates, places and afternoon slots fill up weeks in advance, so whoever receives the card should write to us early to get the day they really want; the rest of the year, a few days’ notice is usually plenty.
Gifting with peace of mind means knowing that the person who receives it will not have to pay a penny more to enjoy it. This is what is already on board:
Every experience spells out exactly what it includes on its own page; and our FAQ about our sailing trips sets out the full booking, payment and weather conditions.
A gift only works if nobody has to worry afterwards. That is why the Catvents gift card is built so that everything goes well even when plans change.
Write to us through the contact form, by email or by phone telling us what you want to gift (a specific experience or an amount), the name of the person receiving it and your dedication. We confirm the price and send you the secure payment link; as soon as it goes through, we prepare the personalised card.
You receive it as a PDF by email within 24 working hours (usually within a few hours). You can print it, forward it by WhatsApp or keep it on your phone. If it is a last-minute gift, tell us and we will give it priority.
12 months from the date of purchase, so it covers every season and all the key dates of the following year. If the person receiving it is running out of time, ask them to write to us before it expires and we will find a solution.
Yes to both. They choose the day according to the departure calendar and availability, and they can redeem the card for any other Catvents experience, paying the difference if the new one costs more.
With rain, strong winds or heavy swell we change or postpone the departure to another date; if that is not possible, we refund the amount paid. Safety and comfort on board always come before the calendar.
Yes. You can load the card with whatever amount you like and the person receiving it puts it towards the experience they prefer, shared or private. It is the ideal option when you do not know whether they will go alone, as a couple or with friends.
Every card carries the name of the person receiving it, the experience or the amount, your dedication and a redemption code. It is delivered as a high-quality PDF, designed to be printed at home or at a print shop and slipped into an envelope.
Yes: we issue multiple cards for teams, incentives and Christmas campaigns, with an invoice, and also cards for a complete private boat so that a group can redeem it together. Tell us how many you need and by when.
