2024 America’s Cup Barcelona e-Series
The Copa América e-Series is the new esports competition bringing all the excitement and precision of real-world sailboat racing to the virtual world.
Developed on AC Sailing, the ultimate sailing simulator created by the 37th America’s Cup, this inaugural season promises to challenge even the most seasoned gamers.
The championship will kick off on July 31st, as a prelude to the on-water action, and will culminate in a Grand Final in Barcelona on September 28th, where eight players will go head-to-head to be crowned the first-ever America’s Cup e-Series champion.
The competition offers players from around the world a unique opportunity to compete against the best, shine on a global stage, and write their name in the history of the America’s Cup.
The America’s Cup e-Series consists of two main phases: the Online Qualifiers and the Grand Final. The Online Qualifiers are the public qualification phase and consist of six rounds of online events.
Each round includes a weekly challenge and a Playoff Final where the top eight players of the week will compete for a spot in the Grand Final.
The Grand Final will be held in Barcelona with six finalists and two wildcards competing for a €50,000 prize. Only one will be crowned the first-ever America’s Cup e-Series champion.
The America’s Cup e-Series doesn’t stop at the virtual realm, as the top two finalists will have the opportunity to spend two days in intensive training to face a Youth America’s Cup team on the waters of Barcelona.
It will be an epic duel between gamers and professional sailors.
AC Sailing, the official video game of the 37th America’s Cup, is available for free on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The game allows players to take the helm of the speedy AC40s and compete in thrilling online races, as well as hone their skills in time trials and training modes.
Preliminary America’s Cup race
The excitement for the 2024 America’s Cup Barcelona is heating up with the Preliminary Regatta set to take place in Barcelona from August 22nd to 25th.
The six competing teams will put their new AC75s to the test in intense head-to-head battles.
Over four days of racing, the teams will face off in match races to determine the two fastest.
The final day will be reserved for an epic final between the top two, where the overall winner of the regatta will be decided.
Racing will start daily at 2:00 PM and extend until 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM, depending on the progress of the races.
All teams participating in the 37th America’s Cup will be present: the defending champion Emirates Team New Zealand, the official challenger INEOS Britannia, and the challengers Alinghi Red Bull Racing, NYYC American Magic, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, and Orient Express Racing Team.
The competition will be marked by tension and strategy as teams must master the racing rules to outmaneuver their rivals. A mistake in applying the rules can result in a penalty that can change the course of a race.

Louis Vuitton Cup
The Louis Vuitton Cup is the qualifying series that will determine who will challenge the defender, Emirates Team New Zealand, for the 37th America’s Cup.
The format includes two round robins, semifinals, and a final in a match race format.
The top four teams will advance to the best-of-five semifinals, with the winners moving on to the Louis Vuitton Cup Final.
The first team to reach seven points will become the Challenger and will face New Zealand in the America’s Cup match.
Racing will be held between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM on the following dates:
August 29th – September 8th Round Robin 1 & 2
September 14th – 19th Louis Vuitton Cup Semifinals
September 26th – October 7th Louis Vuitton Cup Final
The five competing teams are INEOS Britannia, Alinghi Red Bull Racing, NYYC American Magic, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, and Orient Express Racing Team. The defender, Emirates Team New Zealand, will only participate in the first stage.
It’s important to note that America’s Cup racing is governed by a strict rulebook that dictates on-the-water priorities. Breaches of these rules can result in penalties that could decide the outcome of a race.

The competition leading up to the 37th America’s Cup is heating up. A total of twelve teams, split between invitees and teams from the 37th America’s Cup, will battle it out for a spot in the final.
